Diva Challenge # 217: " Duotangle - Dex vs Bunzo... Thirty-five!!!

This week's Diva Challenge is a Duotangle, which is to use only two tangles. The one that she chose this time are Dex and Bunzo, which she chose for the number of letters in each tangles name. The significance of this is that yesterday was her 35th birthday. Did not do anything particularly creative. After I got done, I realized there is a similar format as the one that I did last week. Have to be careful I do not get into a rut. Here is what I came up with. I hope you like it.

Tangles used: Dex, Bunzo
Did not do any shading on this with graphite. I used stippling on the Dex instead of lines as it seemed easier to do with the the space available.

I have looked at a few things that others have submitted, Most of them have been things that have shown up on my blog reader. I did not look though until I had almost finished mine so it was pretty well set.  If you have not done so, would encourage you to go to I am the Diva and check things out.

Thanks for visiting. As always, comments are welcomed, encouraged, and appreciated.

Go Tangle !!

  1. I very much like your Duo-Tangle Tile, Donald. Great choice to use Stippling for shading in your Dex Pattern. Very effective and uniformly applied. Beautiful Bunzo. Well done.

  2. Yes, I really like the stippling shaded effect you achieved. I don't know if I would have the patience. Your bunzo are bright and shiney as well...that tangle really lends itself to the "alive factor".

  4. You forced me to go back and look at your last week entry. I'm not fond of grid based patterns for exactly that reason. They seem like they should be a background for some reason. It still is a very nice tile. I especially like your Bunzo.

  5. There's something architectural about this, a modernist building, I suppose. Well, that's what it made me think of anyway. Like a couple fo other people have said, I admire the stipling, partly because I don't do a very good job when I try , so I admire those who do. A nice tile, I think.

  6. The stipling on Dex works really well here, Donald. I sometimes seem to get stuck in a rut, but I think it's just exploring an idea a bit further. Your work is really very varied.

  12. I like the stippling effect on your tile, very different to the other Dex's in this weeks challenge. It must of taken ages to do.
