Has not been as easy to get back into doing the Challenges regularly as I had hoped. Part of this is that I was still finishing another project. Can see that in
another post on my blog. Had every intention of doing something last week but the time flew by and I never got to it. This week is a star challenge. Can use a star tangle or string. This is a challenge that she used before, but that was long before I had been involved in doing the challenges. Looking at the tile, I think it met the criteria in spirit, but maybe not just in the way it looks. A tangle that I have used before and like is Spiteria. This is a modification of this tangle. I did not put in quite as many lines and I did extend the lines a little bit. It did take away from the star shape this tangle usually has. I used this tangle as my string and then added the other tangles. For what it is worth here is the end result. I hope you enjoy it.
Tangles used: Spiteria, Knightsbridge, Printemps, and Paradox.
If you have not all ready done so, would suggest that you go to the
Diva's blog and look at the other tiles and ZIAs that others have submitted.
I appreciate your taking the time to visit. As always, comments are welcomed, encouraged, and appreciated.
This reminds me of a picnic and kite flying... I love the busy-ness of the patterns in the order of the star-string. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Had not thought of a kite.
DeleteGreat, I like the Knightsbridge around the star.
ReplyDeleteOn my blog you ask what pen I used. Because I could not by a Sakura Identi Pen here I bought an Edding 404, permanent marker, 0,75 m/m. This pen is great on the vase but not so very well on the fabric, sometimes it seemed to be empty and I had to make some stripes on paper before going on.
Thanks. Sorry you cannot get Identi-Pens. They are pretty versatile.
DeleteGreat shape Donald, I like your knightsbridge!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Was not going for it but it reminded me of a pinwheel.
DeleteI like your tile! It has an exceptional dimension, love those kind of illusions!!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteGreat tile - the pattern choices make it look like it's moving!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I had almost just did the Knightsbridge and left the rest blank.
DeleteI love this tile!
ReplyDeleteI love this, it has a folded paper feel with your wonderful shading.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouraging comment about the shading. On most tiles that is still the most challenging part for me.
DeleteIt is beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteHi Donald, your tile is great, it reminds me of sunshine, outdoor activities and children's laughter.
ReplyDeleteLovley! You built the star using triangles, clever!
