Zendala Dare #87

Erin has come up with some interesting templates for the last couple of Dares. This is another one. There are a lot of possibilities and I am sure that will see a lot of them as people post their work throughout the week. At first I was thinking of using a lot of tangles which would have left little negative space. As I was working on it decided that that would have looked too busy. So I ended up allowing for more open spaces. Overall I am pleased with the end result.  I could not resist using Crescent Moon in the inner crescents. I hope you enjoy it.

Tangles used: Crescent Moon, Quib, Shattuck, ( Do not know if the vine on the outside is a tangle)

If you have not all ready done so, would encourage you to go to The Bright Owl and look at the other pieces that have been submitted. There should be many great Zendalas and great ways of interpreting this template.

Thanks for visiting. As always comments are welcomed, encouraged, and appreciated.

Go Tangle !!

  1. Is it a mixture of Cresent Moon and Diva dance? Anyway, I like it a lot.
Your whole zendala is very pleasant to look at.

    1. No. It does resemble that though, It just turned out that way because of the way the shapes overlapped.

  2. Lovely, Donald and I think you were quite right to leave some negative space. It's something I still struggle to do and always wish I could do when I see it working so well on other's work. Like the Quib!

  5. Very nice. I like seeing Quib since it was introduced at my seminar. I seldom think to use it myself.

  7. Very nice, Donald. I also like the negative space. I almost used Crescent Moon in the center, too, but changed my mind at the last moment.
